The Reverend Henrietta Stith Andrews
Reverend Henrietta Stith Andrews is currently retired from serving the Southeast Area of Michigan Conference, United Church of Christ, as Associate Conference Minister for Detroit Metropolitan and Eastern Associations. She has served in this position since June 1, 1998. Her church membership is held with First-Bethany UCC in St. Clair Shores, MI. Prior to coming to Michigan, she worked as an Associate Association Conference Minister for the Western Reserve Association United Church of Christ in Cleveland, Ohio for two and one half years. Before that Rev. Andrews served as pastor and teacher of the Ridgeview Congregational UCC in White Plaines, NY for six years.
Education:
Rev. Andrews has earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Yankton College, a Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Western Reserve University, and a Master of Divinity degree from Lancaster Theological Seminary. Furthermore, she has written articles for Forum and New Conversations, as well as Biblical reflections for the 1995-96 Program Resource for Women published by the Coordinating Center for Women

Personally Rev. Andrews is interested in issues of spirituality/prayer/care of the soul. In her spare time she enjoys patio gardening, cooking, being creative with various art forms; playing folk instruments, traveling and reading. Rev. Andrews is the mother of two adult children; Catherine, who is a coordinator of volunteers for the Red Cross, and Stephen, who is serving in the U.S. Navy, and grandmother to Elijah, Stephen's son.
